Denmark is introducing limited and flexible grid access, which lets new projects connect faster by accepting that the system operator may occasionally limit their exchange with the grid. In September 2026 WeStorix submitted its response to the Danish Energy Agency's consultation on the draft executive orders.

For a storage-led Energy Hub, a limitation instruction is a scheduling decision, not a loss of energy. The energy storage shifts charging or discharging, and the producers and consumers in the hub continue to be supplied.

That makes Green Power Stations the kind of grid-friendly, controllable connection the reform is designed to favor. Flexible capacity can later convert to firm capacity as the grid is reinforced.
